Mission Statements Of The Coworking World

“Coworking spaces can play a massive role in shifting our relationship with work to be one that is more intentional, collaborative, holistic, and positive.”
 – Tony Bacigalupo founder of New Work Cities – Cat Johnson

Coworking spaces can help you to feel that you are established, and your work authentic.

Avoiding the isolation intrinsic of working from home, you are surrounded by friendly faces who want you to succeed. Also, placing yourself within this professional ambience compounds your accountability, and thus you may take work more seriously.

“The world is a globe. The farther you sail, the closer to home you are.”
– Terry Pratchett

Expanding your horizons leads to personal growth and consequentially business growth.

Coworking spaces enable you to mingle with people from all walks of life. Perforating your restrictive inward-looking bubble, you may be endowed with new ways of thinking. Unexpectedly, you just may find the solution to that problem you’ve been dealing with, albeit in the most unlikely place.

“As business owners ourselves, we have seen a genuine need for businesses to move past competition and isolation.”
– OUR HQ

At OUR HQ, we believe that collaboration is the key to success.

Going at something alone is flawed, with missed opportunities for improvement. When everyone contributes their expertise, a product or service is enhanced that otherwise would have been seen through the restricted lens of one individual. Whilst competition may motivate you, positive motivation from your surrounding co-workers is arguably more desirable. With no affiliation with your brand, you are afforded a ‘safe’ environment, enabling you to expand your knowledge repertoire.

“Don’t be afraid to give up the good to go for the great.”
– John D. Rockefeller

The idea of giving up the stability and structure of the 9-5 lifestyle may be hard to swallow.

We get it, it’s comfortable. However, there is a bounty of benefits that you may receive from taking that leap of faith and pursuing your new business venture. Coworking spaces are there to serve as your backbone. At OUR HQ for example, we have created an environment where you are supported, but also challenged to scale greater heights.

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
– Helen Keller

With a strictly internal focus, you may forget the talent that you are overlooking.

When people come together, they can forge friendships, partnerships and corporations; more readily achieving a common goal than if work was conducted separately.

“Another great reason to use a coworking space is simply for the vibe in the room. It’s like working out at home or going to a gym. You’ll always push yourself harder at the gym because of the other people around you.”
– Alison Robins, OfficeVibe

Coworking spaces are like a bee hive.

With everyone busily working away, you will feel left behind to not do the same. Besides, you just will want to do the same, impassioned by the diligence and energy of those around you.

“The industry is young. The future is bright.”
– Steve King, Emergent Research – Global Coworking Unconference Conference

As stated in the Australian Financial Review (AFR), expansion is the current intent of the Australian coworking industry.

According to AFR, Workspace 365, Hub Australia and The Commons will open new flexible work spaces as corporate demand for the sector takes off. According to WeWork Australia’s Balder Tol, “Businesses are really turning to that flexible, collaborative workspace in a bid to attract talent.

For those companies, it’s really about an amenity-driven workspace.” In this way, coworking as a social movement is progressively turning into a largely-backed industry.
